Final year Botany students got hands on experience in Soil testing techniques and seed testing techniques at Asst.Director of Agriculture Laboratory,khammam
Estimation of Essential macroN,P,K and Micro elements protocols and germination trails were done by students.
soil samples data base and farmers data base was analysed.
Department activities
Department conducts Curricular,co-curricular and extra curricular activities as per Academic plan and Action plan and includes Student seminars,Extension lectures,studentstudy projects,Field,study trips besides Best practices like know a plant daily-Today'sPlants box and mainteance of Herbal Garden with around 100 medicinal plants grown known to use for primary health care and common ailments.
Herbal Garden
Department is maintaining a herbal garden with good collection of more than 100 Medicinal plants available which are locally used in primary health care and treating other common ailments,Students regularly maintain the garden .
Besides department is also maintaining good collection of Succlents and plans to build a cactorium in future.
